Betsy Hart is a nationally recognized leader in clinical exercise physiology with over 25 years of experience, including more than two decades advancing innovative cardiopulmonary rehabilitation programs. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Clinical Exercise Physiology at the University of Illinois Chicago, committed to enhancing patient care, professional education, and healthcare innovation.

Betsy holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology and a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition. Her certifications include:

• ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP)

• AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP)

• AACVPR Pulmonary Rehabilitation Certificate

• Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)

In addition to supervising Cardiac Rehabilitation at MacNeal Hospital, Betsy serves as Faculty for the AACVPR Leadership Academy and is the Course Director for AACVPR’s new CCRP Virtual Course, leading national education initiatives for cardiac rehab professionals.

She has held multiple leadership roles, including:

• President, Illinois Society for Cardiopulmonary Health and Rehabilitation (ISCHR)

• Marketing & Communications Chair, ISCHR

• Chair, MARC Committee, American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR)

A sought-after national speaker, Betsy frequently presents for AACVPR and at state conferences, where she shares her expertise in program development, team empowerment, and systems-level innovation in cardiopulmonary rehab.

As founder of Hart Forward Health, Betsy delivers CEU-accredited workshops, customized seminars, and consulting services to help healthcare teams thrive in an ever-changing landscape.
